The letter George H.W. Bush wrote to Bill Clinton, his soon to be successor, in 1993 has resurfaced amidst the current race to nominate the next American President. More than a lesson in grace, it is a thoughtful reminder of the power (and importance) of humility. Read the letter here.
2. #TellAmericaItsGreat. Love, Oh Canada
Living up to its ‘nice’ reputation, the good folks of Canada have come together to send a friendly reminder to their neighbors to the south during potentially one of the most emotionally charged Presidential elections. Launched by Canadian Creative Agency, #TellAmericaItsGreat was launched in an attempt to cheer up the US during this election season.
3. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Captain Planet
Building on the success of his recent documentary (Before the Flood), Leonardo DiCaprio is teaming up with Paramount to produce Captain Planet – an adaptation of of the 90’s animated series. Leo is such a great (and sustained) advocate for climate change, continuing to live up to his role as a United Nations Messenger of Peace.
4. Tesla’s Entirely Self-Driving Future Fleet
Another prominent voice in climate change, Elon Musk announced that all of Tesla’s new cars will be equipped with self-driving hardware. Musk continues to push boundaries in all aspects of sustainable transportation, and this is another major installment.
5. Obama visits Louisiana
Though headlines have shifted gears and returned to Clinton and Trump, Obama continues to shine the spotlight on the much needed aftermath of floods in Louisiana. Support is still needed, and more can be done here.
